Virtual Classes for Michigan's Older Adults

Michiganders can now enjoy over 150 small group classes for FREE! This is supported by the Michigan Health Endowment Fund, and in partnership with GetSetUp.

These classes are designed to keep your mind active, allow you to engage with others, increase your ability to live independently and learn new things. And most importantly, have fun!


Employment Hubs - Michigan Works

A HUB is a central location in YOUR neighborhood with Employment Specialists dedicated to providing the guidance and support you need as you work towards your professional goals.


Senior Health Partners

A community partnership of Bronson Battle Creek, Area Agency on Aging, Office of Senior Services, CentraCare, and Summit Pointe. Connects seniors and their families to locally managed resources.


CareWell Services 

Carewell Services Southwest is the Region 3B Area Agency on Aging serving Barry and Calhoun counties.
Connects seniors and their families to locally managed resources.


Referral Tree

The Coordinating Council Referral Tree pages are intended to provide information on health and human services available through non-profits and governmental bodies in Calhoun County. Each page has a separate subject and is broken down into categories of need.  Pages will show the most recent date edited.


Art Center of Battle Creek

The center features art exhibits, programs, classes, and a gift shop with items created by area artists.


Binder Park Zoo

The zoo features exotic animals in a realistic African habitat, educational programs, a petting zoo, and special exhibits.


Calhoun County

Fort Custer National Cemetery

Operated by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, the cemetery offers military funeral honors for veterans. It has space for more than 10,000 veterans' graves.

The family recreation center includes Flash Flood,which has indoor and outdoor pools.


Leila Arboretum

The arboretum, which includes a children's garden, offers horticultural classes and activities just for children on 72 acres of land.


Kingman Museum

The natural history museum and planetarium, located on the grounds of Leila Arboretum, offers a variety of activities.


The Music Center 

The center is the umbrella organization for the Battle Creek Symphony, Boychoir and Girls' Chorus, Community Music School, Youth Orchestra, Community Chorus, and the IMPACT (Inner-city Music Proving Arts Can Teach) program.
