Help your baby develop listening and language skills with songs, stories, and playtime. Get to know other families with little ones at Babytime, which is for those younger than 24 months. Each Wednesday morning, we will guide caregivers--whether parent, grandparent, or nanny--in the five practices of early literacy--talking, singing, reading, writing, and playing. Babytime includes nursery rhymes, songs, rhythm activities, sharing a book, and free play.

Musikgarten for Preschoolers

Preschoolers are invited to sing and play in Musikgarten, a social class including singing, chanting, moving, dancing, and playing of simple instruments. Children will experience an active exposure to many types of music, including a variety of tonalities and meters along with an emphasis on guided listening. Parents and caregivers are encouraged to actively participate with their children as they are important role models. Longtime music instructor Rita Burghart, owner of Burghart Music Studio in Marshall, will be leading this Musikgarten class.

PLEASE NOTE: This is a ticketed event. Willard Library cardholders may pick up a free ticket, one per child, beginning at 10:30 a.m. each week to attend that morning's program.
