Willard Rocks With Pete the Cat

Preschoolers and their families are invited to rock at a Pete the Cat costume character visit. They will sing Pete the Cat stories, enjoy crafts, and be able to have their photos taken with the costume character Pete the Cat. I Love My New White Shoes is the first book in the Pete the Cat series with text and music by Eric Litwin and illustrations by James Dean.

‘If You Give a Mouse a Cookie’ Costume Character Visit

The famous mouse from The New York Times No. 1 best-seller "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie” will be appearing at the library to kick off the new fall story times and programs. Families will enjoy stories, crafts, fun surprises, and photo opportunities with the mouse.

Discovering Nature With Leila Arboretum

As we get ready for winter so does the world outdoors. Leaves change color; grass stops growing; birds fly south; and flowers fade away. Preschoolers will dig in and experience as many of these changes as possible before the snow flies with help from Leila Arboretum staff.

Early Childhood Connections Playgroup

This parent and child interactive playgroup led by Early Childhood Connections focuses on developmentally appropriate school readiness activities for children from birth to 5 years. Activities include sensory play, open-ended art, and activities to encourage early literacy skills. Children are offered the chance to learn how to play and interact with other children while becoming comfortable with Willard Library. Siblings are welcome.
