How to use curbside pickup service

While in-person visits are not allowed, contactless curbside service is available for holds pickup, faxing, and printing at both libraries. Please remain in your vehicle to receive this service. We ask guests to wear masks while we are assisting them.

To reserve books, audiobooks, or DVDs, holds may be placed via:

After you receive a phone call, email, or text telling you that your holds are available you may visit the library you use.

At the downtown library, 7 W. Van Buren St.:

If you have a cell phone, the signs ask you to call 269-968-8166, ext. 512, for holds pickup and faxing. If you need to print, please call the same number and ask for ext. 513.

The parking spots in front of the library are labeled 1, 2, and 3. When you call we will ask what number spot you are parked in, your name, and look up your account. After we verify your information and what holds are available, we will check them out to you. We ask that you roll down the rear window of your vehicle so we may place a bag with your holds in the back seat.

If you do not have a cell phone, you may call to schedule a pickup time or call us when you are leaving your home. Also, we watch for people in vehicles who have not been helped and visit the vehicle.

People who do not arrive by vehicles may go to the library’s front entrance and call the phone number on the sign and ask for the appropriate extension. Library staff will place a bag with your items on a cart outside the front door. Please make sure your name is on the receipt stapled to the outside of the bag. Please do not approach the cart until library staff have re-entered the library.

At the Helen Warner Branch, 36 Minges Creek Place:

The procedure is similar. The phone number is still 269-968-8166, but the extension is 600 for holds, printing, and faxing.

To pick up holds, please pull under the front entrance overhang and call the number on the sign. If you do not have a cell phone, please park in spot No. 1 or No. 2, and we will be out to help you.

If you would like to print or fax, please park in spot No. 1 or No. 2 as this service takes a bit longer than holds pickup. Please call the phone number on the sign and ask for ext. 600. Then, we will then be out to assist you.

If you do not have a cell phone, please wait in your vehicle, and we will be out to assist you.  If you walked, we will be out  to help you.
