Vinyl Cutting Lab

The Vinyl Cutting Lab is currently closed due to COVID-19.

Willard Library now offers a vinyl cutting lab. It is located on the second floor of Willard Library next to the Media Desk. The Silhouette Cameo 3 is an electronic cutting machine for light-duty, creative use. It uses a small blade to cut materials up to 12 inches wide. It can be used for vinyl lettering, window cling designs, scrap-booking, custom apparel, and card making. The library offers courses to help you get started. Once you are comfortable with the machine, you are allowed to use the equipment without direct Library staff supervision.

The Vinyl Cutting Lab is available for reservations during regular library hours to those who are pre-approved for its use. Reservations are not required to use the lab, but they can be made through the online meeting room booking system

The orientation is a one-time introduction to the lab.  Attending a program counts as an orientation to use the lab without staff assistance.  If you need more one-on-one help, you can always schedule a Book-a-Librarian.

Check-in System

Check in with Media staff before using the lab.  Let them know that you completed an orientation and you need the room unlocked to work on a project.
