A look at what's happening at Willard

Make time to make stuff

Sign up to make these projects at Willard's Bling and Bring classes.

During this busy season, it's important to take some time to make stuff.

Creative activities are known to contribute toward reducing stress and depression according to the American Journal of Public Health. So, if you are feeling a little stressed from the holiday hustle and demands, take some time for yourself at the library and enjoy a little crafting therapy.

Bring some friends with you and learn how to make something new. No experience or crafty genes are necessary.

The library offers a couple of ways to craft: The Monday evening Bring and Bling programs and the Tuesday morning Vinyl Lab Drop-In. All craft programs occur at Willard downtown.

The December programs are for making floral headbands out of felt for babies and toddlers, cursive names made out of craft wire, and our final Bring and Bling project will be decorating blank ornaments with personalized vinyl decals.

The Monday programs could inspire a homemade gift idea or … shhhhhh…. you can keep it for yourself and no one will know!

The Bring and Bling programs are registered events, so please sign up by clicking on one of these links:

Tuesday morning drop-in hours are for any vinyl project you'd like to attempt, but might not have the skills to complete on your own. We'll also have an evening Vinyl Lab Drop-in Time from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 25.

Bring your adhesive or heat transfer vinyl and all your project materials, and we will assist you with your personalized project.
