Willard Library is excited to announce the launch of a new Plant Propagation Station, a community-driven initiative designed to inspire an interest in gardening, cultivate green spaces, and share knowledge.
Located at the downtown location on the main floor, the Propagation Station operates on a simple “Leave a Cutting, Take a Cutting” model. Patrons are invited to bring healthy trimmings from their own houseplants to share with others and, in return, take home a new variety to root and grow.
The station features glass rooting jars, labels for donors to identify their plants, and a selection of houseplant care resources.
How the Propagation Station Works:
- Bring a healthy, pest-free houseplant cutting. (No soil or potted plants please.)
- Place your cutting in one of the provided water jars.
- Choose a new cutting to take home and enjoy.
The Plant Propagation Station is free and open to the public during regular library hours. No library card is required to participate in the swap, though staff encourages visitors to check out the library’s collection of gardening & plant care resources while they visit.
